Galaxy Note 4 rapid battery drainage despite replacing with new & high capacity batteries
I have 2 Galaxy Note4 : both of them tends to run out of battery
power pretty quickly (the one from Korea stays a bit longer)
despite that I replace with new batteries (merchant claims they're
original).
Then one colleague told me he faced the same issue (esp from
40-50%, it can suddenly go down to 0%) when running more
intensive apps like Waze GPS despite that he replaces the battery.
I then got this high mAH high capacity battery from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Lifespan-6980mAh-Extended-SM-N910A-Smartphone/dp/B07NL42B5Q/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Note+4+battery&qid=1565667061&s=gateway&sr=8-3
It took longer to charge & last longer too (but at around 30-40%)
or when the phone is on standby over the night for 11 hours, it'll
just go flat the next morning (despite that it was initially at 90%+).
I did set the brightness to almost 0 overnight with "mobile data"
off (but Wifi is On at home) & the "task manager" shows only
Whatsapp & Messages apps are running overnight.
Is this quick-draining of batteries an issue with the old phone (&
can this be tuned) or there's some apps that can be tuned/removed
to reduce the battery draining.
Or all the batteries I've got so far are not good (which I doubt)??

note4's battery can be user-swapped easily by just opening its cover. however for phones with built-in battery (i hv an old iphone 6+ that drains v fast too), if I go Apple shop to hv it swapped, will the new battery still drain very fast like Note4 ?
if I go Apple shop to hv it swapped, will the new battery still drain very fast like Note4 ?no guaranteed, but worth a try if it doesn't cost you much : )

> If your screen is always on I do not believe that is normal behavior, or it should be using the ambient display
Actually the screen dimmed off within a few seconds & then the display will go off when not in use & even
so, it still drains to 0 next morning though it's at over 90% in the night.
>newer versions of Android may not be as optimized for your Note 4,
Good point. However, Note4 could support Android up to a certain version
& won't get anymore updates.
Have thought of reinstalling Android but there's too much apps & data in the phone (though I could
backup the data & restore after reinstalling, this restoration is not available for the apps)
