I would like to back up mailbox using Outlook import/export in Outlook client. However, I the Import/Export is greyed out. If I remove my computer from domain,  it is not greyed ou and I am able to export mailbox to pst file.  I do not create any group policy to block this features.
I am not sure what causes this issue.
Please assist me what I need to do to enable this feature.
Thanks,
Long

It is probably greyed out for your Outlook Exchange Profile. I think your Exchange admin does the PST Export.

John,
I am an Exchange admin. I could export and import pst files using Outlook client before. However, for some reason it is greyed out now.

Interesting.  Try doing an Office Repair (Full Repair) from Programs and Features and see if that corrects Outlook.

If that does not work, make a new, test, Windows Profile (Account) (Computer Management, Users and Groups).  Log into the new Windows Account and test Outlook.

I did remove and re-install Office 365 office but I still got no luck. I also used the test account and the issue has been there. However, if I remove the computer from domain, I see it enable and not greyed out. I know something on domain blocking it but I cannot figure out what it is.

That is somewhat in line with my first comment. Is there a Group Policy for Office / Outlook on your Server?

Author

Commented:
I do not think so. I am only admin can create a new group policy and I do not create any group policy to block this feature.

I am at a client with a Domain and Outlook on the Domain (Server 2012 R2 and Outsourced Outlook).  Import/Export is not greyed out.

As noted earlier, update the Server and Exchange and see if that helps.
