Clone gaming system no start.

Hello Everyone,

I have a clone gaming system.  I was told it is a brand new board in it, however, I can't see to get the system to boot.  It won't power on.

I have tested the power supply with my tester and the system will try to boot up with it but does nothing when plugged into the new board.

I have checked all the cables in case it was wired wrong, but everything looks correct.  Possibly the board?

Thanks in advanced.

what is a clone gaming system? Make and model and what it is supposed to emulate would be helpful.
Is it a PC clone that is to be used as a gaming system?
"I can't see to get the system to boot.  It won't power on."
What happens when you press the power switch?  Do fans turn on, power LED light up, etc?
More details might help.  But they might not.

Did you test it before you bought it?  Can you take it back for exchange or refund?
Did you get it from a friend or a stranger, from a store or the trunk of a car?

Sorry guys,

1) the power button only works when I test the power supply with my tester.  When I plug the power supply back into the board and hit power it does nothing.

2) It shows nothing on the screen as it does not power on.

3) This is a friends.  He put the board in and I am trying to see if he killed it from static...

I checked all cables, reinserted video card, ram etc.  Still nothing.

Thanks.
open the box, and check what the motherboard model is
MSI 970A G43 is the board.
ar you sure the power button works?
did it ever work before?
if not check if there are no mounting standoffs shorting the board to chassis
"the power button only works when I test the power supply with my tester"
That is confusing to me.  If this is a Windows PC (not clear so far), then the power button connects to the motherboard.  If you are using a tester, the power supply would connect to the tester and the PC's power button would no longer be connected and wouldn't work.

I would try disconnecting EVERYTHING from the motherboard except:
CPU
CPU fan
Power supply (likely to be 2 connectors)

Look at the specs for the motherboard and see which two pins are connected to the front panel power switch.  Short them together (a screwdriver often works well).  You should see the CPU fan start and hear beeps because of no RAM.
