Hi Chinmay. Thanks for the response. I am working with a company that say they are running things on an IIS server and that my published site will have to be RDPed up. I am not familiar with IIS servers as I have always published sites to a hosted domain name or  Azure. I am just looking for some information on how this sort of setup works and what software I would need to RDP a site. Would Filezilla be oneoption for example?

Hi Murray,

I still have some confusion due to the way the problem is described but I would lie to take an educated guess.

Basically, they have a Windows Server with Remote Desktop enabled and they would ask you to login to RDP server (RDP will allow you to copy / paste files via normal copy paste and you can also map your physical director to the remote server) so you can get your files on the server. Then you will configure IIS for the local files. If they are giving you RDP, they might have issues against FTP. But you can check with them if you still need to use FTP (I think copy / paste is a great option if the content size is relatively small).

Regards,
Chinmay.
