How to prevent the Adobe updates from being loaded for Adobe 2015 and 2017?
How to prevent the Adobe updates from being loaded. For months now I have been adjusting these two Adobe registry settings after every Adobe update that occurred:
Computer
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\2017\Preferences add the bEnableTrustedConversion and set it to 01
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\2017FeatureState add BlockDistillerConversion and set it to 0
For some reason after this week's Adobe updates the users are still getting the annoying popup about being a trustworthysource even after making these adjustments.
I want to start by disabling any and all Adobe updates and then work on how to stop this popup.

It is so annoyting to have to run around to all these workstations and apply the registry settings over and over. Is there anyone at Adobe that can be contacted to do something about this? They should change their update routines to not remove these registry settings when found.
Contact Adobe Support by phone. Β We normally update Adobe on a Quarterly schedule. Β If you leave the machines on overnight, updates should happen then.
Apparently an Adobe update was pushed out every night this week. I adjust the registry setting, check it to make sure it is there and then the next morning the settings are gone. What a product! I will give the a call and give them an earful!
Under Edit->Preferences->Updater you can turn off automatic updates. We have run into this trustworthy issue because we use an ERP solution that send emails out via Outlook. When the trustworthy box box up it breaks the connection because the user now has to stop and click trust. Doing that for hundreds of emails is a real pain!

That is the problem. The updates occur at night and wipe out the registry settings so the next day I have to set them all back again. I have many more important things to do during the day than being the Adobe registry settings resetter.
On one machine, can you try a full uninstall of Adobe (hopefully clean out the registry entries), restart and install it fresh. Allow it to update by itself (every 30 to 60 days).
I think trying to manage it by registry has damaged it (hopefully not the operating system)
I have turned off Abobe updates on the computers that need it turned off(4). Three were 2017 and one was 2015. Adobe has to change their updates to not reset the bEnableTrustedConversion registry key. It removes this key from the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\2017\Preferences add the bEnableTrustedConversion and set it to 01
