What makes you believe that you need any loopback addresses? I have never used a loopback address on a switch, and only rarely do on routers or firewalls.<br />

A loopback address only makes any sense if the switch is routing, as you would need to inject the loopback address into the larger routing infrastructure.

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol.
