I'm somewhat new to SNMP for things other than monitoring. &nbsp;I used a program where I put the MIBs in. &nbsp;Interestingly enough, I am able to read the untagged state of the port and I can set it to it's current setting however it won't allow me to set it to a different setting.

I have some old SGE-2000 switches that I'd like to be able to manipulate via SNMP.  Specifically I'd like to add/remove ports from vlans via SNMP. A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol. LANs that use switches to join segments are called switched LANs or, in the case of Ethernet networks, switched Ethernet LANs. A hub is a connection point for devices in a network.
