How do I change port vlans via SNMP for SGE-2000?
I have some old SGE-2000 switches that I'd like to be able to manipulate via SNMP. Specifically I'd like to add/remove ports from vlans via SNMP. While I have found the MIBs online, combing through them did not produce the results I was looking for. Can anyone point to the OID that allows me to do what I'm looking to?

I'm somewhat new to SNMP for things other than monitoring. I used a program where I put the MIBs in. Interestingly enough, I am able to read the untagged state of the port and I can set it to it's current setting however it won't allow me to set it to a different setting.
Are you using. Read/write community?

Yes. I do have the read/write community set properly.

Look first on the snmpwalk of a port assigned to a vlan.
Locate the OID reflecting the vlan to which it is assigned
If the property is not marked as read-only, it might be changed.
Test on an inconsequential port and see if that works.
