Checking folder for contents then opening Outlook and attaching the file.

I would like to write a simple script which is always running.
It checks a specific folder to see if a pdf file is there and if it is it should open Outlook and attach the file so that the user can send the attachment to specific recipients.

This seems like it would be best achieved through VBA in outlook.

If these are indeed needed for a production environment then you might want a purchased product that does the job.  I'd take a look at these two and see if they meet your needs.  I used Directory Monitor quite a while back and at the time it got the job done nicely at the time, and I know I looked at Watch Directory as well.  But it's been quite a while since I needed something like this, so you can best judge if either meets your need, and if you are willing to purchase at some modest cost.
