Elementor footer not full width on some pages

http://146.66.113.175/~techgard/design-engineering/  the footer is not full width, although the css tells it to be.

I tried a new page, Elementor full width, and it still is narrow.

I made the design-engineering page full width, and then had to stretch the sections, but the footer doesn't allow that. Theme is gridlab, but the customize section doesn't help.

The first site is a full width page

The second site is inside this
<div class="site-content_wrap container">

Where
.site .container {
	max-width: 1200px;
}

Open in new window

You need to move your footer outside of the container that the rest of the site is in.

Yup, your footer is inside your site-content class.

And if you're wondering where your close tags ended up,  they're under your </html> tag.

ok, here's the problem; I am using elementor. I would love to be able to just move the code around, because that's simpler to me. But I don't think I can do that within their framework.

We are also using Elementor - although I did not set the template up and we have a full width page.

In the layout the page is full width and then in the various content panels we constrain the width.

If I get a chance to go through it and figure out the design process I will post here but for now look at your page properties and see if you have not got a width set

Thanks, Julian. I will take a closer look.

No, I can't find a thing. On all the sections there's a place to edit them, but this footer is just there and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to edit it.

New page, select full width, preview, the footer is like that.

Well, still a mystery, but I solved it by copying the FAQ page as a template and using that to create a new page. If the other developer can tell me why it was doing that, I'll let you know. Thanks.

If you go into Edit Page for the page (not the Elementor editor), the Page Attributes on the right have a Template option. If your site is like the one of mine that I'm looking at, you might find that one page has the Template "Elementor Full Width" and the other doesn't.

But I don't think I can do that within their framework.

Are you allowed to FTP into your server to see any files with elementor? If so, go to your "design-engineering.html" file and download it, make the changes above and then re-upload it.

Hi, Terry, I did that but for some reason it didn't help.

Thanks, that would work, Julian.
