Bare Metal servers in cloud hosting.
hi, i want to know what are barematel servers in cloud hosting. they have a hypervisor installed or not ? if not how to connect to them.
A bare-metal server is a box in a rack that you own/rent. It has no operating system or other software installed on it. You build it from the ground up to be what you want it to be.

OVH is the best bare metal provider I've come across.
I've been using them for years.
You lease a machine, then install whatever OS you'd like.
https://www.ovh.com/world/ dedicated- servers/di stribution s/ provides the current list of OS options they have for installation.
A very long list.

Cloud technologies pile on heavy VM technology on top of Bare Metal Servers, which sucks the life out of the Bare Metal Servers.
This is why Cloud tech runs so much slower then Bare Metal Servers.
Best price/performance is almost always Bare Metal Services, with technology stack (like LAMP) + app code both tuned for performance.
