To RESET iDRAC for Dell Server PowerEdge R510
Hi,
I have Dell PowerEdge R510 server.
The Goal: To reset the iDRAC
The things that I do:
I find the “I” switch (It is at the front panel of the machine)> I press that “I” switch around 30 sec> then, I release it.
The outcome: I saw the DISPLAY blinking blinking continuously (Not Stop).
My question:
1) How can I know that the “reset” has been successful?
2) Is there any other way to reset this iDRAC? Which ones?
Thanks,
Tjie

Most straightforward way would be to plug a laptop into the iDRAC port, set an IP in the 192.168.0.x subnet, and try browsing to 192.168.0.120. This is the default IP, after a reset. The default account name will be root, password calvin.

@Mal Osborne:
Default iDRAC IP address is NOT 19.168.0.120; because of that i want to RESET it.
I did the "soft reset" (Press the i icon for at least 30 seconds....etc), but it DID NOT WORK.
Thanks,
