XPages view : Show data only for the specified categories

In XPages view, I'd like to show show data specified by category values only. One of my idea is ... I check the value of each document  in 'rowAttrs' property. If it is NOT the specified value, set the rowattrs as "display:none". However I don't think this is good idea in case of a big view(there are lots of documents in a view). Is there a smart approach?

Plus, if you use a pager, you'll have pages with just a few documents.

One of the properties of a View element handles Categories. Did you try it?

I checked the property but could not find it in Designer. Where can I find it?
Sorry, but then I think I didn't understand your question. Do you want to display only one category, or do you want to display several but not all categories in a categorized view? The selection of categories, is it dynamic or static, meaning: can the view be prepared that only documents from specific categories are selected in the Domino view itself?

Maybe, to help me understand better: can you give an example?
Thanks for your help.

For example, in View, there are categorized by country

    Japan
        user 1
        user 2
    United State
        user 3
        user 4
    England
        user 5
        user 6

If an access user is Japanese, I'd like to show the Japan users(user 1 and user 2) only in the view
