BSOD pointing at iaStorb - Trouble Shooting..

O/S: Windows 7
Hardware: Dell 7810

The system recently ( over the past 2 -3 months ) has been crashing with a BSOD and giving me a memory dump. This happens randomly. It has occurred a couple of times during the day and it has happened over night and on weekend when no one if on the system.

It seems to be pointing at the iaStorB driver. The driver seems to be updated.
I am not sure if I need this driver or how to remove it.

I have attached screen shot and I do have the full memory dump but it is 1.5 Gigs so uploading maybe an issue.

Any help would be appreciated of riding myself of this issue.

Thanks

Do you use onboard RAID controller for RAID configuration? Is BIOS updated to latest version?

Thanks for your input

BIOS is up to date.

The PC came preconfigured so I am not sure if RAID is being used. I would assume it is not since I only have one hard drive installed. However, if the system had RAID configured, it make be a little nervous to turn it off and the system becomes un-bootable.

Mini Dump uploaded The system crashed and rebooted yesterday.  I also have the full dump.

No one was on the system,
it points to the iastore driver also
you can : uninstall it, or update it
updating ALL drivers and bios can help too
Thanks for Nobus and andyadler for your help.

I will check the drivers and BIOS again. Last time I checked ( a few months ago ), they where all updated,

andyadler,
my concern about switching from RAID to ACHI is my drive will become inoperable and I will have to reinstall the O/S and all my programs.

Bob
If your drive becomes inoperable you can just change the setting back again.
andy adler.
Question:
I can simply change the BIOS setting back to RAID and it will start working again if ACHI causes the drive to not be bootable?
Yes. If it fails to boot it isn't going to write to the disk.
Thanks andyalder. I plan to try this over the coming weekend.

If all goes well and it boots without an issue. Should i remove the any drivers?

Thanks for all your help.
Ok. I was able to change the BIOS and I do not see RAID being used but I do see the iastora.sys and iastorb.sys on two different storage controller. Can I assume i should uninstall iastora.sys and iastorb.sys drivers on each controller and leave iastorf.sys alone?
I attached the  two screen shots of each controller.

I appreciate your patience and help as I work through this issue.
Thanks
Bob

Thanks.  However, if I remove all of them, then no driver for the controller. Will the system boot?

Thanks.
I removed the iastora, iastorb and iastorf. System did reboot and I was told.
I also uninstalled Intel's Rapid Storage Technology.

Before I did all the above the system rebooted twice on 9/20 and each reboot pointed at iastorb.sys.

I am hoping the above uninstall will stop these reboot for good. I appreciate everyone's help.

I will update you in week if the reboots have stopped.
sounds fine; i hope all is well now
