SATA to USB converter for a DVD burner

Hello, i have a SATA DVD recorder that i cant use on my mac mini because It miss a SATA port,since the only port is taken by the HD. I ve thought to buy a converter from SATA to USB that allpw me to burn dvds through the USB port. Can u suggest to me a good one ? Thanks.

You have extreme risk of it not working.  Why?? Because the chipsets used by these devices often do NOT translate some ATA commands that are used with multimedia devices.  They'll work just fine with a hard drive, but when it comes time to reading or writing to a CD or DVD then they simply won't work.

So you MUST check with the manufacturer and ask the question if a burner is supported.  If the box doesn't specifically mention DVD and/or CD support, then look elsewhere, or call them before buying.
