How to copy a word file to all users desktop ( Public Desktop)
Hi
We have Windows 2012 Domain controllers and Windows 10 and windows 7 workstations in our network.
I have a Microsoft word file and i want to copy this file to Public Desktop ( All users desktop)
C:\Users\Public\Desktop
Secondly if the file is already copied to the public desktop , i would like the GPO to ignore the copy .
Please post me the best way to do this.
We use login.vbs Script for the staff when they login.
Will it be best to copy this word file using the VBS script or through GPO.
Any tutorials much appreciated thanks in advance.

Another thought, instead of copying a file, why not a shortcut, link to the file in a central location that avoids having multiple copies that might have to periodically get updated where a link will reflect the file from central location that can be updated at will.. And set to read only by users..

The same way you copy a file, you can copy a shortcut.
Use GPO File Preferences
