How can you incorporate multi-factor authentication with Citrix WorkSpace or Receiver?

I understand that you can use different products to work with Citrix NetScaler; but, what is a user is using Citrix Receiver or Citrix Gateway?  We had some consultant that setup the Citrix NetScaler test situation to show where we would enter a OTP for Citrix Web Interface Authentication.  BUt how would that work with Citri Receiver?

Currently a user would sign in from Citrix Workspace by entering a username and password.   Would the Citrix Workspace application prompt the user for an OTP automatically?  Or will further configuration be required just as now the NetScaler required configuration for the Web Interface?

Does one need to have a Citrix Cloud subscription to include Citrix Workspace with Multi-Factor Authentication?

I guess it is possible.

It appears that the recever login prompt will need to change and it is possible.  Any other ideas?  or examples?

Great!!
I can add some screen capture below, with a freshly installed Citrix Workspace client (French language), no specific configuration, external computer (no domain GPO), I'm connecting to a 2FA Netscaler.

First capture, the password:

And then the OTP/2FA code:
