Access Denied Copying files to share
Hello I'm the Domain Admin\Enterprise Admin for our environment, I've verified all the necessary privileges are in place, I can copy other stuff no issue in fact this is the first time I've run into this issue.
I can copy the same files\folders to my desktop but when i try to copy to share i get access denied on a few of the files, not all of them. I'm the current owner of the files\directories in question.

So I was able to copy from USB device to my desktop no issue, I was also able to copy to the share by connecting USB device directly to server, & I can copy from share to where ever. I just can't copy to share over network.
1. Are you able to copy from USB to your PC and then from there to the share ?
2. What are the permission sets on the share ?
3. What are the NTFS permissions on the shared folder ?
4. Can you copy the files on the share in a SUBFOLDER ? Can you create subfolders ?

A. I verified that I have adequate rights to the problem file\directory.
B. The file\directory isn't open by anything else no service\user.
Interesting enough you mentioned Server 2008, this is what our NAS is currently operating on. I rebooted the server, same issue. I'm almost leaning towards a policy or Anti-Virus or Firewall something is blocking this.

Ok, go back one line ... NAS ?
So is this share on a NAS or on the local drive of the server ?
If you can make a subfolder and copy all the files without any problem then it is not Antivirus or Firewall , it means file is open and can not be overwritten.
Maybe you should try and copy using Robocopy in verbose mode to see which file fails and reason.

1. Is the file in question open already by another user?
2. Is the path to the share you're copying from or to very long? It may be that you're running into a path length issue during the copy process.
