need to know if a plan from verizon is what it says it is
I have a 16GB per month plan from Verizon. I got an email that said I can go to unlimited for 2 dollars more a month. Is this legit? Is there a catch that anyone knows of? Here is a screenshot of the ad.

Call Verizon to see if it's actually legit. I would guess the catch is that after the first year or something the price bumps up.
I have Verizon Unlimited on phones on my plan. There is a limit to how much each user gets with unlimited bandwidth. Once a user hits that limit, their bandwidth is lowered until the end of the billing cycle. That limit only applies to that specific user/phone, not to the others if they've not hit their limit.
This may or may not be the same plan you're looking at. I'd look further on the Verizon site.

On my data plans are unlimited .. 0 throttling ever.. How US wireless carriers get away with this unlimited bytes but with severe throttling I have no idea.
In your situation I'd only upgrade the $24/year increase if on an average year you spend more on overage costs than the $24/year.I had a friend that is netflix junkie and was on a low data cap plan and was getting $50+ overage charges per month... I tried many times unsuccessfully to get this old coot to change to the unlimited plan for an extra $10/month.
