I'm asking for the best way to replace VMware ESXi hosts with new hardware.
We currently have HP Dl380 servers Gen 9 hosts running ESXi 6.5 and are looking to go to HP DL380 Gen 10 ESXi 6.7
We have four 10 GB network Adapters in each server , each connected to different vSwitchs.
The new hardware will also have Four 10 GB adapters and will end up being configured identical to the Gen 9 server.
We are running vCenter Server Appliance 6.7.0.14000

What is the best way to install the new servers ? and end up with the same configuration as the old servers ?
Can I backup and restore the VMware configuration ?
Let me know your best experiences with accomplishing a replacement like this

Install new.

You can backup and restore to identical servers of same ESXi build

But the PCI network interfaces will be on different PCI bus so all your nics will be messed up

So install a new ESXi version from scratch

Also build versions are different

Don’t forget to install the OEM HPE version
