Office 2016 goes blank when changing apps

Currently using office 2016 (365) and windows 7 64 bit.  I have noticed that some users outlook will go blank when they click off off of an email and go to use something else.  Its almost as if it is a security feature to stop people from reading your emails.  When the user clicks back into the email the text will come back.  One thing that I did notice is that when the email is maximized it will not do it.  Any ideas?

Are the Office up to date? Are you using Office 32 or 64bits? Did you tried to replicate this behavior with Outlook launched in safe mode?
