Small footprint NAS
Who can recommend a NAS with the smallest space footprint?
There is a need to install this in a space which is small.

i guess any 2 bay NAS should fit just nicely everywhere....they are a bit bigger than 2 HDDs with some breathing room and the motherboard

I have had good luck with Synology products, you might take a look at them, maybe something like:

I second Bill... Synology for business for sure. For home if they want something cheaper, I have had good experience with DLink

how small would you need ? how much disk space ? and what data volume ?

i lazily goolged it and do not vouch for the quality but then can run freenas with a number of ssds and or sata drives.

Blast from the past? Author is still active, but they have a lot of abandoned questions.... So you never know.
missed the part the question was inactive since january, thanks for pointing it out. i actually found this Q because i answered a different question from the same author and had a look at his other issues.

Is this commercial? Is it personal? What's it being used for? Are you storing VM's for a cluster? What sort of connections are you wanting, how much are you wanting to spend, what sort of storage are you looking for?
