Searching Sever Drives in Windows 10
We recently migrated 14 users to Windows 10 from Windows 7. The server they connect to was an SBS2008 server. Since the change, searching on shared drives through Windows 10 has been painfully slow or either doesn't work when searching for files, contents, folders, etc. Since then, we ended up replacing their SBS2008 server with Windows 2016. After doing some research, supposedly this was suppose to help and/or fix the searching (we didn't replace the server for this reason though).
Is Windows 10 search just simply broken and doesn't work like previous versions of Windows or is there specific settings that need to be changed on each PC/Server for it to work? I've already gone through Indexing, rebuilding search index, restarting windows search, modifying search contents, etc, but it hasn't worked.
