Hello Experts. I have a windows 7 system that has a recover partition.   While in Disk Management (in Computer Management) I cannot get any access to the "recovery partition".

When I highlight it and right mouse click all I get is "help", I don't get the other options normally preseted for drives.

Because of this I cannot perform Windows updates or upgrade the system to Windows 10.

How should I resolve this issue?

The recovery partiton is only needed if you are going to reinstall Windows 7....

To update Windows 7 with the latest drivers you can usually go to the Manufacture Web site and download then run an updater program.

If you want to reinstall Windows 7 then see this link for information on doing that.

Are you receiving a specific error when you attempt to upgrade / update that makes you think the recovery partition is preventing it from updating?
As Wesley indicated the recovery partition is not needed for upgrade / update.
