Does the Outlook client still get prompted to restart after a local migration?
Does Outlook 2016 still require a restart after the Exchange mailbox is migrated locally?
I am running Outlook 2016 and Exchange 2013 CU23. I migrated my mailbox to a new local database and noticed that my Outlook client did NOT prompt me to restart. To my knowledge, I should have been prompted.
Does anyone have information about this? Would be great if I could migrate mailboxes during the day without affecting the end user. Most end users are running Outlook 2010, however, so also wondering if older version will still get prompted.

Your better option is to do a handful of them for verification, realistically you can show them some documentation for Exchange Autodiscover but they aren't going to understand it.

Thank you, Alex.
No problem, any issues let me know. You may find the odd one or two that need to be restarted but you'll essentially be fine for 99% of them

I wasn't able to find anything online that addressed my question. Do you have any Microsoft articles? Will help me out when hundreds of users get prompted and management asks for an explanation. :)
