Due to the mixed enviroment probably an idea would be to setup a Samba domain controller and use this for controlling both Windows & Mac Computer ...i reckon something like this : http://www.shabangs.net/tag/samba-4/ should do the job
the best one is ManageEngine Desktop Central (https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/). free version support 25 clients.
you can use it for:
  • Patch Management
  • Software Deployment
  • Mobile Device Management
  • IT Asset Management
  • Remote Control
  • \Modern Management
  • Configurations

It support Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices.

ASKER

Thank you John & Sam,

Sam, it appears to me that this solution only works for one office corporates? I have 4 sites in different continents.
The system looks amazing though.

thanks again
I am not sure what you are after but like ManageEngine is spiceworks which is free...
with no servers or anything
Where are you installing this management suite?
If you need to manage Macs, it's really just Jamf, Centrify, Addigy

https://www.jamf.com

If you need free, you can use powershell for Windows after you set a default admin account on each.  For Macs, you enable remote login and learn to use unix scripts to manage them.  You can also use ODS for Macs using the Mac Server suite.

Shaun, my environment is 100% Cloud based so I am looking for a SaaS management suite.

John, I am trying Spiceworks currently but it is not a management/control software, it is only for monitoring "I Guess", please elaborate more.

Serialband, these solutions are only for MAC not for a mixed environment like mine.

Thanks all, I am still looking for the best solution, this is the future of enterprises, unfortunately apple ditched their Mac OS Server. AD is amazing for windows but lack some features for MAC. I have a lot to research still

By The Way, how do you quote a comment? I am still new here :)
With spiceworks comes a lot of plugins...if you want the full throttle then ManageEngine seems to be the best ( i haven't used it...don't know much about it) but it comes at a price...
You have to write down all your needs and make decisions...if ManageEngine does what you need maybe is a one way street...regardless of the price tag...
Something else 200 Computers is quite a big Infrastructure ...so here is one more option

Exactly my point. Some of the suggestions above are on-prem
