Outlook 2010 imapi connection errors.

We've all been in this situation I'm sure. I have a client that will not let go of Outlook 2010 and the imapi settings are no longer working no matter what I try. For my own understanding has Microsoft completely discontinued connecting to Outlook 2010?

I'm going to move my client to Office 365 but I'm curious myself about 2010 because I come across it from time to time.

Thank you

No, Microsoft still supports Outlook 2010 to connect with O365 accounts, the thing is that you should have an updated Office 2010, older versions than Service Pack 3 won't work.

Not following you, I believe Outlook 2010 only goes up to SP2?
You are completely right (Office 2010 went up to SP2), the one that went up to SP3 was actually Exchange Server 2010.

Double-check the server and ports for IMAP and SMTP that are here on this link:

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/pop-and-imap-email-settings-for-outlook-8361e398-8af4-4e97-b147-6c6c4ac95353
I checked the ports and they're fine. I'm not sure the software's been updated though. I just came across this client lately and they haven't had Office updates in awhile. I get why they don't want to let go of Outlook 2010 because it's used for an older app that needs an email client to send emails but Gmail by itself will not do what they need. I'll check the SP installed and/or install again and let you know what I find.
Sounds good
