Samsung Note 8 motherboard and locked out

I have a Samsung Note 8 mobile phone that needs a new motherboard and that is locked.  It is a company owned phone and the employee got terminated, turned in his phone but never gave us his gmail information.  We are now locked out of the phone.  I sent the phone to Samsung to unlock it but after running their diagnostics they mentioned the motherboard needs to be replaced. Cost to replace mother board is about $400. Cost to unlock is $80.  Samsung will not unlock the phone without replacing the motherboard. My question is how can I unlock the phone myself.  Is there a proven method. Also I was thinking of replacing the motherboard myself and then sending the phone back to Samsung to unlock it.  Does anyone know a cheaper repair center to replace the motherboard or online easy guide to do it.  Where would be good place to buy the motherboard part.

Thanks

A motherboard is the brain of an Android phone and it just like to do a brain surgery to replace the motherboard.

After replacing the motherboard and reloading back the Android OS, it is a new phone. SAMSUNG will not help you for anything if you replace the motherboard on your own. Their unlock fee is just the service charge to reload the Android OS.

Locking out from Android OS is pretty common and it is called FRP (Factory Reset Protection) lock. There are many online service providers which claims to be able to get rid of FRP lock. But, if I were you, I will not try any as there is no guarantee that the FRP lock will come back any time after you have paid for the unlock service.

Your problem is essentially a human problem and human problem is better to be handled by HR department.
To avoid this happening in the future, perhaps company policy for these devices should be reviewed to prevent employees retaining a stranglehold on them after they have left the company.
