Hi,

How can I have my MS Word document apps open in the same location and size as it was last open.  I have to open a whole bunch of word documents but every time I open one it always to the left side (never the same place) - i would like to set the Microsoft Word apps to open in a specific side and size.  is that possible?

So strange... i have one windows of word open and when I open the other it opens in the left....
ah - you should set all your documents

here is how to open all documents in a single window:
1. Open the "File" menu in Word and click "Options" at the bottom of the menu that appears.
1. Open the "File" menu in Word and click "Options" at the bottom of the menu that appears.
2. Click the "Advanced" category in the left pane and scroll down to the "Display" section.
3. UN-Check the "Show All Windows in the Taskbar" check box.
4. Click "OK" to save your changes.
5. Open the desired Word documents. Each document will appear in a single Microsoft Word window.

all documents open in a single window & Word open in the same place each time

Thank u very much! I would like to say that with your answer it also help me get around my original problem.  You see, you are right in your first entry: "...opens in the last screen location it was closed".

I never had the problem - it was my error: I was opening a word window without exiting the last, so obviously it always opening to THAT last.  Reading your answer I had to close windows to test and that's where I saw it.

Thanx!
glad everything worked out

thanks for the points
