Need to auto-complete frequently typed sentences on a mac

I am looking for an 'AutoHotKey'-type program for Mac.  I have to type the same/similar sentences very frequently, and I need to find a reliable short cut.  AutoHotKey was perfect, but I have moved (back) over to Mac, so it doesn't work.  I'm hoping to find a free download, and If automator or appleScript are capable of doing this I am all ears...

Here would be an example of a desired outcome:
Press [Shift + Cmnd + Delete] and the sentence 'Thank you very much for your time today' would appear in whatever app I am working with

Thanks all!

On OSX I use Typinator https://www.ergonis.com/products/typinator/
Its not free but its very powerful and configurable.

OSX comes with built-in Spelling Correction .. if you come up with a code like TVTT it can 'replace' that with the sentence. It's better than a pure key combination as you can have hundreds setup for various phrases.

To set them up go to the KEYBOARD section in the System Preferences .. and go to to the TEXT section.

This also works in almost all applications where you can type as this is a System-level setting.

Eoin,
This looks like exactly what I was hoping to find--thank you so much!! Can you tell me how to execute that command?  I did as you suggested (see screen shot)
however when I type 'TVTT' (both with and without single or double quotes) nothing happens.  Can you tell me how to execute it?

Thank you again, SO MUCH!
sláinte!! ;)

It SHOULD work in most programs .. however some like MS Word and browsers may have their own in-built checking which can conflict with teh OSX feature

I've set up that self-same shortcut and it works fine here in this Chrome Browser for example

TVTT = Thank you very much for your time today

I'm afraid I'm a bit confused Eoin,  sorry!

How do I use this?  When I type the TVTT sequence no pop-up field with the full sentence appears as looks to be the case in your image above...(I'm also in chrome)

DESIRED OUTCOME:
To Type 'TVTT' and see the sentence 'Thank you very much for your time today' appear.
I have set up the command as you instructed (as per the screen shot), but when I type the 'signal' (TVTT) text, I am intending to trigger the auto-type ('Thank you very much for your time today')...

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
I type in the TVTT command, and hit enter, and I just get a carriage return to the next line...leaving 'TVTT' sitting there staring back at me... blankly....lonely, I think.....wondering what I want him to do next.....or why he even exists in the first place....how can I give him a purpose in life so that he can function proudly??

Thank you again for all your assistance =)

Sounds like you're doing everything right .. can you ..
1. Reboot the Mac .. not sure this will make a difference but always worth a try
2. Test it out in a different app like the OSX TextEdit.app

It's working in TextEdit!! YOU ARE THA MAN!!
To confirm--from your screen shot, it looks like you are able to do this on this very question page itself, correct?
I ask this because I still can't execute it on this very (our current) page....so I am still going to reboot
