If the host and guest are the same size, there will be a portion of the screen that isn't visible when connecting to the host to account for the window that the VM is in and the start menu. Hiding the start menu will help, but it's usually better to maximize the VM view or increase the Host's resolution.

I just setup a 2019 standard server and created the first VM guest. &nbsp;When I go to connect to that guest in hyper-v manager, the display window is larger than the screen. &nbsp;Both the host and guest instance are set for 1024x768. &nbsp;I do not have the option to grab any of the borders of the window to drag and make the window smaller. &nbsp;This should be straight forward.

Both the host and guest instance are set for 1024x768.  I do not have the option to grab any of the borders of the window to drag and make the window smaller.  This should be straight forward.

Administration and configuration of the host OS and the guest virtual machines is generally done over the network.
