Also what are you trying to share, I think only documents or folders can be shared with external users (so no lists or complete site).

When adding external users you need to click the 'go to outlook' link. My user did not see this.

I have a director who wants to share files with a group including some people not on our domain. I have given him admin rights but it still won't allow him to share with external users.<br />
