Electronic Diagnosis
Howdy all! I've been curious as to how i can make sure that my TCL 4K 55" tv has all of it's components and electrical pathways are as new. I would deeply appreciate it, even more, if there might be anything else that can be checked. i.e. Those free floating crystals embeded in the screen. If you know exactly what must be done.. I'm all ears! Or, rather, "eyes!" :D
Hi Mark,
So you are afraid are not new.
Or at least you have doubts and you do not know what to think.
That means you expect some repairing/changes have been probably done.
And then having an answer from here you expect to double check that and identify if it is indeed so.
Then I have bad news for you: if you are not an expert in electronics, PCB, components, then you will not be able to double check that. If the TV is functional, then just an expert on electronics, with the eye formed, experience behind, can recognize if some changes have been done, unless was a really ugly/unprofessional change/repairing visible also for “ignorant”, “layman”, but then you do not need and advice, just open the TV and see by yourself.

Not sure I can help with your question, but I wanted to try and maybe clarify a bit. When you say .
What exactly are you asking about? Is this a new TV you bought and you're concerned with the hardware inside being "old" or "used"? Or about how long it will last?
