Citrix License Server Upgrade
I am upgrading from Citrix License Server 11.5 to 11.16.3.0. Does this require downtime? Or can I do this upgrade during production time. I know the license server has a 30 day grace period of being down.

you can upgrade the license-server without downtime.
xenApp/Xendesktop and other citrix products start a grace period if LS is not available.
This really works.
Sure, upgrading outside workhours is more secure, but often we have 24/7 worktime.
Most other redundant installed components may be upgraded without downtime too. (PVS, DDC, StoreFront, NetScaler...)

Make sure to take a VM snapshot before doing anything.
The best is to shutdown the VM, and take a snapshot while the machine is offline.
This way if your upgrade fails, you can quickly revert to the previous version.
