I tried to upgrade ESxi 6.5 to 6.7 U3 using UPdate manager and got PSOD saying that "Attempting to install an image profile bypassing signing and acceptance level verification. This may pose a large security risk". I guess this must be the reason I got PSOD.
Any advice would be appreciated.
It sis a Dell R730 server and I downloaded iso image from Dell.

It’s not the reason for PSOD

Now you’ve got a PSOD I would update all R730 firmware download the Dell OEM ESXi 6.7 iso and install

Do you have screenshot for the PSOD?

Upgraded the nic firmware, downloaded the zip file instead of iso and upgraded via CLI. It did not get PSOD. I am not sure whether the issue related to NIC firmware or something else. I have a few more servers to upgrade and will try the same path as before (via VUM) to see whether I get PSOD.

You should *ALWAYS* ensure as part of your upgrade from major OS version to ensure firmware is up to date and the latest.
