Exchange 2010, Outlook MailTips could not be retrieved
Hi,
I have spent hours looking at this issue that started for my users a couple of weeks ago,
In Outlook (we are still using 2010, with Exchange 2010) the users keep getting the message MailTips could not be retrieved
I have enabled Outlook logging, this is one of the mailtips logs:

seems your web request is not being completed, could you please ensure that the EWS URL is reachable from the user machine.
below URL should be reachable, try accessing it in OWA, post the auth you should get the XML.

Hi,
When accessing https://exchange.domain.co.uk/ews/exchange.asmx
I see a XML page, the url changes to /ews/services.wsdl

ok so the EWS is reachable and working... can you check if the mail tip appears on OWA?

Works ok in OWA
so it's the local issue, probably could be corrupted OST, try a new outlook profile if not already tried.

to understand this in more details, is this limited to a few users or a large number of users seeing this issue ??
Also, is the autodiscover for the impacted users working fine ??
could you test if you are able to set up the out of office and delegates for the impacted user?
