Ping internet blocked from one local IP
Hi
I have one local IP that cannot ping the internet, (10.0.99.105) This is on a VM in HyperV, there are 5 VM's here. I can change to any other IP and it is fine, or with DHCP it is fine.
I can move that IP to another VM (to test) and again it is blocked.
Tracert times out 30 time with no result.
Am guessing it's the Sonicwall router that is blocking it.?

Sounds like the firewall may be blocking at least some types of ICMP packets for that particular address. Check the restriction rules for ICMP packets from the firewall through every router and switch on the way to that machine.
My own opinion is that all ICMP type 0 and type 8 packets from the internet should be blocked as standard policy, but you pays your money and you takes your choice.

Am guessing it's the Sonicwall router that is blocking it.?Maybe, but you'd have to inspect the outbound policies. But I would start with noci's suggestion of making sure that there is no IP conflict.

Any progress?
It can already be in use on the router f.e. for a VPn tunnel.
