Hello experts,

I have the attached template table template.
The aim is to use on a daily basis.
Is there a way to set format as default if not? Is there a way to create a macro to create the table automatically?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Joe,

Indeed, not user-friendly the attachment future as I am requested to click to twice to upload the file and I always forgot. I supposed that other users should have the same issue.
User should not be able to create the question if there is a pending file attached but not uploaded.

Thank you for your help.

Good idea! I'm not a web-dev guy, but it seems to me that such an error-check should be doable.

Luis,
I'm not sure that I understand what you're trying to achieve. If you simply want to use the table as a template for future (daily) files, I would mark it read-only in the file system (so you don't accidentally overwrite it), open it each time you need it, then do a Save As to a new file. Am I missing something here? Regards, Joe

Joe,

My goal is to have formatted table when I create a new table.

Example:
I open word and I have the insert table future:

The idea is to have the table template with the required format in terms of column with green header etc:

Hi Luis,
Put the table by itself in a separate Word file. Then do these steps in the Word file in which you want to insert it:

Position cursor where you want the table to be inserted
Insert menu
Object drop-down on ribbon
Object...
Create from File
Browse to the file with the table
Un-tick Link to file box
Un-tick Display as icon box
OK

That should do it. Regards, Joe

Indeed, I tested and it works. What I am going to add the table to my Normal.dotm as I don't have multiple objects on it or save it on a normal file. And if I see that I use it a lot of time I will create an AutoHotkey :-).

Thank you for your help.
