Replacing a file through Group Policy
Hello,
I created a group policy that is meant to replace a file from the users' computers. I thought I had configured it right but something is not working correctly as it is not replacing the file I want. I am attaching screenshots. I have the file I want to push (replace) on the local C drive of the domain controller. The location where the file needs to be replaced is C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\IBM\Client Access
The policy is enforced and it is enabled.

can you take a screenshot of the Common Tab
ASKER
can you post a screenshot of targets in Item Level Targeting? also does this GPO link to the OU where the computers are located?
Are you sure that the GPO is linked to that OU that you are targeting?
If you send a screenshot of the GPMC showing your OU hierarchy that my help me narrow the root cause.
If this is going to apply to all computers you really do not need ILT and you can put the GPO at the top level of the domain to ensure that your GPO will be inherited to all OU's

You can run GP Result against a computer and see if this policy is running with any errors.
Another option is to run RSOP.MSC on locally from one of the computer to see the results.
You can also check the event logs on the local computer under Applications and Service Logs | Microsoft | Windows | GroupPolicy

I tried the wizard, it runs successfully but nothing changes. I even have event logs on my computer saying this: "The Group Policy settings for the user were processed successfully. New settings from 2 Group Policy objects were detected and applied" but the file doesn't get replaced.

How many machines did you need to replace the file on and do you know if it was successful?
