Attach pictures to a Facebook messenger message from an online folder or album.

I would like to be able to attach pictures to a Facebook message from an online folder or album, and not just from the hodgepodge of pictures that have somehow made it into the root of the local gallery on my phone.

The two online services that I am currently considering using are from Microsoft and from Google, but neither of those folders or albums seems to be accessible from my Android Galaxy Note 8 phone.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

All you do is click on the add file icon at the bottom. That opens a window where you locate the photo you have. I keep mine on the desktop if I am ready to send it. Otherwise I store them in the pictures folder.

Well sorry my error you asked about an online photo. You right click the file and save it to a location and then follow the process above.

If you are wanting to send a photo using a cell phone you will have to wait on another EE member for that.
>>> I do know that you can save photos to a folder of files on your cell phone because I have one. I have yet though to actually attach a file to a message from phone to person.

You need to share the photos from the apps of online services. i.e. OneDrive app by Microsoft and Photos app by Google. There are no folders or albums inside your phone as the service is online.

From OneDrive app by Microsoft, select a photo and click the Share button.

Select Photo and click the Share button
Then, click Send files button and Select Messenger app to share the photo to the recipient.

Click Send files button and...
From Photos app by Google, the steps are more or less the same and the "Send files button" step is omitted.
