But it works just fine with VB2017,
just tested it.

filesystem.vb is a file you create yourself? If you look at your VS2017 project, you see it? Maybe you forgot to add it to your source control solution?

Hi Eric,
I never created such a name. To me looks like a visual basic sort of library.

I am running the same project from the same folder.
When it runs in vb2017 it works fine
then when it runs from vb2019 it shows that error message.

Could this be an incompatibility issue betwwen 2017 and 2019
and if so... any hints... I would like to work all in 2019

I have ported a few solutions and no issues yet. Do you have all your references correctly set?  What kind of projects?

This is a very small project in vb used for years called by other apps.
it has lees than 100 lines. It opens a word form and fills it.
if you have a little time attached you will find the small project.
Thank you

Are your trying this project on the very same computer?

When I opened your project, I checked your references and one (Office) was incorrect. I removed the reference and re-added it and the project runs fine until the second FileOpen because I don't have tmp folder and the file in it.
