Android Outlook emails distorted images and image not present (red X)
Hi,
We've just transitioned our Engineers to using Microsoft Outlook on their Android phones and some emails are missing images (red X) and some email have the image distorted (stretched). However it's not universal, sometimes it's intermittent and it's only happening for some users, any ideas ?

Have you had your Android users go to the playstore and update to the latest version of Outlook for Android?

Yes, installed it on Friday just gone, downloaded from the play store
it's only happening for some users,
All emails for some users got the problem?

Yes, although when i was testing various scenarios with Outlook on my phone it was intermittent ! i.e. through the Gallery i Shared an image via Outlook and it didn't come through (red X) but then when i repeated it later the image came through :(
Are you using Office 365 Exchange Online?

Not yet, will be transitioning this weekend. Currently on premise Exchange which is why we're getting Outlook on all the Engineers phones

It seems to be intermittent connectivity issues for your on-premises Exchange server.

Not sure i follow ? Wouldn't we experience that with other inbound emails ?
If the problem only appears in Outlook for Android app, try to reset the account cache (remove cached files) as follows:-

- Open Microsoft Outlook on your iOS or Android device.
- Go to Settings and tap the account that causes problems with image loading.
- Tap the Reset Account button and wait for the process to finish

Didn't work, trying attach image to new email (and have tried sharing image via email) and not coming through (red X). Did the Reset Account in Outlook settings and tried both methods again and still not coming through
