Hi,

Finally, My Dell Power Edge R 510 is running Windows Server 2019 (actually, it is a straight forward installation).

Now, I want to install VM machines in this server.

As Dell Server, my experience in VM machine is also limited.
Can somebody direct me what would I do to create the Hyper V server 2019?

Thanks,
tjie

How far have you gotten?

Have you looked at hyper-v requirements, general practices?

This course will introduce you to C++ 11 and teach you about syntax fundamentals.

Please clarify, what kind of San?
On the host you need to use the iscsi initiator administrative tool if your connection is iscsi (over Ethernet)
If you gave FC connections, you need to add hba driver and then add San related tools.
Allocate the LUN//s to the hba/s.....

The existing SAN are as the followings:

1)      Dell MD3200
There are 12 SAS Hard drives

2)      Dell Power Vault 124 T
I make a sketch of the FRONT and BACK of the above devices; some photos (Please see the attachment)
One port (which I put as “ X “); I do not know what it is; it looks like “a fiber connection”

not clear what you are asking, the blue thing is likely aSAS cable

The powervvault 124T is a tape library. the md3200 is a DAS unit.
Both connect via a SAS cable to different controllers in the system one is a RAID controller another is a SAS hBA

the dell openmanage should let you see the RAID controller with an external connection to which the md3200 is connected. through this interface you can combine the 12 dirves or a portion of them into a VOLUME raid that will be presented to the OS.,,...
