Priority Boost in SQL servers
Priority Boost feature on SQL server
As per the Microsoft recommendation, the feature will be deprecated in future versions and
recommended to not use this feature in new development work and modify applications that currently
use this feature as soon as possible.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/configure-the-priority-boost-server-configuration-option?view=sql-server-ver15
Do we also need to disable it on existing critical servers where implemented as best practice?
Thanks

It is NOT best practice to have this setting enabled. In all my servers I encounter I DO disable it and advise against its use. I have not found a scenario in my years that made things better using that option.
Hi
In fact Brent Ozar's sp_Blitz found this setting for me, and I couldn't turn it off in the GUI in SSMS 18 as the checkbox is no longer there! (I used the version that came with that version of SQL to easily see it..)
So yes, turn it off. It was never a good practice.
