I upgraded to the 2019 Windows 10 update from the previous version and it changed my monitor settings so that the screen washes out.  The (HP ZR22W) monitor display was working perfectly before the update.  Every time I power on or the monitor goes to sleep I need rest the monitor back to default settings in order to have a clear display.  Even in safe mode the monitor is washed out. Any assistance to fix this would be appreciated.

Cable ok?
Driver updates from hp?
Have you checked monitor settings for the display?

Yes the cables are ok.
The drives have been updated and I've checked the monitor display.  Every time I log off or the monitor goes to sleep the settings change.

Sorry it hasn’t improved, have you tried uninstalling the monitor (deleting) to see if Windows rediscovery will find it and improve your situation?  Another possibility is to roll back the driver to a prior one that did work to see if that improves the problem.

you might also check your power settings to make sure that the system is not putting things to sleep that you’re not able to interrupt.

I uninstalled the video driver again and reinstalled it, then turned the monitor off that did the trick.  Thank you for all your help!
