Copied site, can't log into dashboard

Hi, I duplicated my blog on Bluehost using this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opYeHPMBh5g  original blog is at https://blog.magickitchen.com.  Copy is at http://gooddiabetesdiet.com/.

I just wanted to be able to change the theme and update it without messing with the live site.

So I did the three items: 1. Copied files over from blog to folder gooddiabetescom. 2. Created a new database and assigned gooddiabetes.com to it 3. Point files to new domain.

Problem is, I can't log into the back end. I've got the login hidden, but I know what it is on the live site. If I go to http://gooddiabetesdiet.com/my-secret-login, it takes me over to the blog dashboard. How can I make it take me to this new site's wordpress login page?

Far more information is required.

At least one problem is https://gooddiabetesdiet.com doesn't have HTTPS setup correctly + the site is forcing HTTPS conversations.

imac> curl -I -L gooddiabetesdiet.com
HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Server: nginx/1.14.1
Date: Tue, 22 Oct 2019 21:07:08 GMT
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Connection: keep-alive
Location: https://gooddiabetesdiet.com/
Cache-Control: max-age=2592000

curl: (60) SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'gooddiabetesdiet.com'
More details here: https://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above.

Your first step will be to setup HTTPS correctly for this site.

Note: The migration steps you specified are incomplete for a successful migration.

One set of steps to get this working.

1) Destroy everything related to https://gooddiabetesdiet.com - files, database, everything.

2) Install a real backup plugin on https://blog.magickitchen.com like Duplicator or BackupBuddy.

3) Make a backup of https://blog.magickitchen.com site.

4) Create an empty database for https://gooddiabetesdiet.com + leave it empty.

5) Get HTTPS working to serve an empty directory for https://gooddiabetesdiet.com correctly.

6) Upload the installer .php file + archive .zip file created in step #3.

7) Go through the restore sequence, which normally means you run the installer .php file + just follow instructions.

Note: A real backup plugin will go through the step of rewriting your entire database to convert all references of blog.magickitchen.com to gooddiabetesdiet.com including rewriting all serialized data.

Serialized Data is a deep topic.

If you must know about Serialized Data open another question about this topic.

The short version is, you must use a site restoration process which is Serialized Data aware, or your site migration will fail completely.

Thanks, David. I was just going to do that, and I see it says: Cannot determine domain - check that your siteurl is set correctly so I will check with Bluehost, get the SSL on it and come back to you.
