Remove Exchange 2007 from SBS during migration

We have been trying to remove Exchange 2007 from an SBS 2008 server inorder to complete a migration to O365 and server 2016.
DC Diag is clean on both the SBS server and the Server 2016.
We tried to remove the Exchange using Control Panel Add Remove Programs and after having issues regarding the OAB and mailboxes we thought that we had some success - however we are now at the stage where it seems to have passed the prerequisites but the uninstallation would not complete.  We have now removed some of the roles - however we get the error below when attempting to remove the Mailbox Role. Please see attachment.  We have also tried the following:
 -Uninstalling using Control Panel
-Right clicking to on ExchangeServer.Msi and selecting uninstall - we get the patch error you can see attached.

We are at a loss now as what to do?

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Thanks Stuart

No probs  - sorry I was busy with the day job :( was the SBS still a DC when you executed that command? I ask because Ive seem similar errors while doing other things in Powershell and I had to manually specify which domain controller to use in the command.

Anyway looks like you got there in the end! Remember SBS leaves loads of annoying Group Policy Objects all over the place! make sure you moved your CA server off the SBS box also if it was deployed (that's tripped me up before also!)

Have a good weekend Stuart

Hi Pete - Thanks for getting back to me.  Eventually after a reboot all the services including store disappeared!
