Sharing a domain resource when connected to Azure Active Directory

We have a Windows domain with a 2003 Server domain controller with Windows 10 Enterprise computers.  I plan on taking a computer off the domain and connecting as a test to Azure Active Directory.  My goal is to retire the local domain server and have all our computers completely on Azure Active Directory.  The one problem is there is a QuickBooks file that is shared on the local domain controller for the accounting department.   If I am connected to the Azure directory, can I still connect to the domain controller to share this one resource using the Windows 10 machine?

No
Cliff is far more knowledgeable than I, but I would think you can map a drive to the 2003 server using the IP and choose use other credentials. You may have to add a second network card to access the two networks simultaneously as they are probably on different subnets.

ASKER

I was thinking something similar as it’s going to be on the same subnet.  All you need is credentials to the domain.
If same subnet the Azure connection is a VPN it may block local device access.  If so you may be able to configure "split tunneling".
