Recommended way to setup Excel graph placing items headers to the left, dates on top and scale to the right

Hi all!

I am trying to place the items measured as header to left side of the graph and the dates header on top.  When highlighting columns/row, it places dates right side and the items at trhe bottom (see pic below):

However, when highlighting just a few, it places the items to the left side and the dates to the bottom (see below):

Below i what I am trying to do (items right side, dates on top and scale to the right) as below:

How can I do this?

Perhaps you can post an image of "exactly" what you want Trials to look like on the left side...?
(Not just say "Place trials here")

Where "Exactly"?

Subodh Tiwari (Neeraj) method helped me place the "Trial" to the left side.

Jeffrey Coachman, I followed your advice but cannot move them (I click on the bottom dates but no moving)

How do I move  the "Dates to the top?

Just in case, I am using Microsoft Excel 2010
Click the dates.
They will appear surrounded by a box with resizing handles

Yes!  I see u seem to move the dates to the top (by the dotted square). and your last image it is fixed there.

However, when I try it it doesn't move.

Thats exactly how I want it!  I have been tweaking at this with no success!  I have read your entry but can't seem to place the dates  at top (the only thing I am missing).

FYI, I am using Excel 2010 (if it matters)

I also used your excel but can't get to determine how you placed the dates at top.
