MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.12 released      2019-06-17

They say:
Simply explore your Android phone !
Connect your phone via WiFi, cable or bluetooth and you'll be surprised how easy and efficient it will be to manage your phone with our software. Since it's first release MyPhoneExplorer evolved into the most popular freeware tool for smartphones. The software is constantly updated with new features.

Anyone have experience with this app?

My main question: in syncing data, does the transfer between android phone and PC get sent encrypted, or can anyone read it?

Thanks!

Hi OT,

I use it, and have been for many years.

I could not find anything to say that the sync is encrypted, but I do note that I have to enter a PIN for the WiFi connection to sync.

That does not necessarily mean that the data is encrypted en-route, but it is something.

I only ever sync on my home LAN, so I am very comfortable that I am secure.

Hope that helps in some way.

Alan.

The data in transit is not encrypted, but not anyone can read it as most wifi network should be using WPA2 encryption. The hacker needs to launch a man in the middle attack to obtain your wifi password and setup a rouge access point to capture your data.

Brilliant, Jackie!  That's the level of detail I wanted.

Thanks!
