Tools to gather metadata for terraform from existing AWS VPC.
I had this question after viewing Copy/Move AWS meta infrastructure.
Looking into the same issue and note that this question is close to two years old.
Have there been some tools appearing that will translate an existing cloud infrastructure into json code?

Thank you for your input. Surprised there are no others who can contribute.
Just to add a little bit of feedback regarding Terracognita.
It is still under development, though doesn't seem hugely active.
Not all resources are retrieved.
I've had a few bugs fixed recently (May/June 2020) (still not good enough in Go to do them myself).
It certainly has promise.
In hindsight, I think Cloudformation would have been a better option, especially as AWS provide the "dump my account to code" feature already.

Richard Quadling.
